Natural Lice Removal & Prevention Routine for Parents
Supplies:
- Natural Nit Spray (with lavender, tea tree, rosemary, and witch hazel)
- Fine-toothed nit comb
- Hair clips (for sectioning)
- Paper towels or tissues
- Bright light and mirror (optional but helpful)
Morning Routine (Prevention):
- Spray hair lightly with the natural nit spray.
- Focus on the scalp, nape of neck, and behind ears.
- Comb hair and style as usual (braiding helps prevent spread).
- Spray backpacks, hats, and coat collars lightly if needed.
Evening Routine (Treatment if lice/nits found):
- Spray the entire scalp and hair until damp—not dripping.
- Wait 5–10 minutes to let it soak in and loosen eggs.
- Section hair with clips to work in small areas.
- Use a nit comb, starting at the scalp and pulling slowly to the ends.
- Wipe comb on a tissue or rinse in water after each pass.
- Check hair under bright light.
- Repeat daily for 7–10 days, or until no lice/nits are seen for 3 days in a row.
Weekly Prevention (Optional):
- Wash bedding, combs, and hats in hot water.
- Vacuum couches, car seats, and rugs.
- Continue using the spray daily even after lice are gone for 2 weeks.
